DescriptionThere is an opportunity for a full-time Project Accounting Assistant with a terrific company. To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare AIA billings, monthly and year-end closings, job reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will be preferred for this role if you have a complex understanding of AIA billing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Vendor Management.Major responsibilities

• Periodic billings; AIA payment applications, time and material billings
• Manage paperwork for accounting submittals
• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
• Reconciliation of subcontracts and purchase orders
• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
• Accounts Payable & Accounts ReceivableRequirements
  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
  • Recent and relevant accounting experience
  • Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
  • Be detailed, flexible, and organized
  • Solid understanding of billing
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
