Controller
A manufacturing company in Syracuse is in search of a seasoned professional with controllership experience in a manufacturing organization with the ability to drive increases in earnings. The position will report directly to General Manager of the division with dotted line reporting responsibility to the CFO of the parent company.
The individual will have responsibility for all of the following activities:
- Cost Accounting:
o Product Cost maintenance and control
o Expense control and variance analysis
o Inventory Control and valuation
o Margin review and analysis
o Rolling up costs for quoting new business
o Interpreting and managing the above items to drive improved earnings
- General Accounting
o Month End Closings and Financial Statement Generation in a timely manner
o Prepare and provide reporting requirements to parent
o Working Capital Management (A/R, A/P, Inventory)
o Cash Management and Control
o Capital Asset reporting (Additions, Depreciation, etc)
o Budget and 3 year plan generation and presentation to corporate
o 3 Month Rolling Forecasts
o Payroll
- General Management
o Assist General Manager in setting and enforcing controls throughout the organization
o Monthly reporting and presentation to corporate of division results with exposure to executive team.
o Serve as member of management in union/management committee
o Oversee accounting staff

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $85,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
