Job Description:

Job Description:
The Document Control Specialist job responsibilities include, but
are not limited to:
Format, edit, review, and proof highly technical operations, safety
and security policies and procedures.
Publish and maintain controlled documents (Intranet / Internet),
ensuring a consistent "look and feel".
Promote and utilize the electronic Document Control Approval System
(Q-Pulse).
Collaborate with engineers to confirm contents of controlled
documents.
Train new and current users on Document Control Procedures, as well
as Q-Pulse installation, setup and operations including remote
training.
Administer the creation, deletion, modification and reinstatement
of user accounts (names, passwords, emails, and permissions) for
Document Control Approval System (Q-Pulse).
Write, update and uphold the Document Control policies and
procedures.
Manage Document Control tools: DCN Log, Distribution Matrix, List
Serve Lists and Notification lists.
Troubleshoot contact for Q-Pulse, VPN and POC users.
Establish unique electronic Approval Templates, Approver Lists,
Document Types and Document Numbers using Q-Pulse
Maintain and update Q-Pulse user list and VPN user list.
Interact with IT to setup VPN accounts, as needed.
Connect with Marketing to Approve controlled documents to be posted
on the Internet
Maintain current internal documentation library
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements for Technical Editor/Document Control
Specialist
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3 to 5 years professional work experience in technical
documentation/editing.
Strong computer, writing and technical editing skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including willingness
and ability to consult with subject matter experts from engineering
and management. Obsessive eye for consistency and technical
accuracy.
Demonstrate effective problem solving and analytical skills.
Manage time efficiently and multi-task effectively. Handle
confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
Ability to thrive, without much oversight, in a fast-paced,
constantly changing environment.
Show patience and understanding when working with users who
struggle to master new technology.
Desire and ability to innovate and improve upon current
processes.
Candidates must address in their applications their abilities to
work with a culturally diverse population.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS
Excellent MS Word, Outlook, and MS Excel skills. Experience with
Q-Pulse or other Document Control Approval System
Experience with List Serve Lists (Notification List). Experience
with WebDirect (uploading documents to Intranet)
