30%Requisition #: 71073The Role at a GlanceWe are excited to bring
on a strategic VP of Mid-Large Market Product to our Retirement
Plan Services (RPS) business to work in any major Lincoln office or
work-from-home.Given RPSs long track record of growth and recent
internal promotions as part of our succession planning, were
looking to fill this existing Product role with a leader whos
demonstrated accomplishments in Defined Contribution (DC)
recordkeeping, vendor management, service offer management, sales
support, product development, strategic thinking, and at times
external presentations (to clients and their advisors). As the VP
of Mid - Large Market Product you will lead an experienced and
influential team thats responsible for a broad set of recordkeeping
products & services for mid-large markets, while also focused on
supporting our sales and retention efforts. Working across multiple
internal stakeholders and external partners, your team will
maintain and enhance our recordkeeping service capabilities, build
new products, maintain and promote existing products and services,
work alongside our client-facing teams to support client requests,
report on successes and present results to senior management, and
develop and implement strategic initiatives.What you'll be
doing
- Supporting sales and relationships management teams by
providing expertise to internal & external stakeholders on assigned
products & services and strategic initiatives, while driving
towards RPSs overall strategic goals and metrics.
- Managing several critical strategic partner relationships by
providing overall relationship management, internal and client
support, negotiating contracts and providing overall accountability
for success.
- Inspiring the team to excel and achieve both short & long-term
goals by managing capacity, developing talent, and providing
hands-on leadership.
- Identifying recordkeeping service gaps, competitor actions,
market trends, and actionable client feedback, and then
incorporating those into product enhancements and initiatives
designed to improve RPSs competitive positioning and operational
capabilities.
- Representing the Product team by presenting externally (e.g.,
client/consultant meetings, industry events, etc.) and
participating in industry trade associations (e.g., LIMRA, NAGDCA,
etc.)What were looking forMust-haves:
- 12+ Years retirement industry and product experience that
aligns directly to the responsibilities of this role, including at
least 5 years of management, strategy, and influencing senior
management/critical stakeholders experience
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years
of additional experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- Strong and proven DC recordkeeping expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement process
improvements.
- Successful track record of hiring, retaining, developing and
coaching staff, with ability to build both technical and leadership
skills.
- Proven strong communication and relationship management skills
with internal clients (e.g. senior/executive management, peers and
colleagues) and external business partners; proven ability to
develop and drive creative and collaborative
approaches.Nice-to-haves:
- FINRA licensing: Series 6
- Experience with Non-Qualified plans, Defined Benefit plans, and
other retirement plan types, services and products.
- Recordkeeping service offer management experience, including
managing a team that prioritizes and drives platform
enhancements.
- Experience with external speaking engagements, such as
conferences or advisor webinars, that promote retirement
products.
- Expertise in drafting and maintaining both technical materials
(e.g., service agreements, product manuals, disclosures, etc.) as
well as non-technical materials (marketing brochures, client
letters, overview presentations, on-line tools,
