Department/Unit: Medicine - Endocrinology Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Registered Nurse (RN) - Full Time Neurology - Comprehensive Pain Management Center Albany, NY Work schedule: Monday - Friday We have a unique opportunity for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Comprehensive Pain Management Center team in the Department of Neurology! The RN will coordinate and enhance all aspects of care for patients treated at Albany Med's Department of Neurology - Comprehensive Pain Management Center. The RN will assist to build a comprehensive educational resource center, and will be providing patients with informational tools necessary to better understand both their diagnosis and treatment. The RN will be directly involved in working with our research coordinators and providers to facilitate research studies and track patient outcomes based on treatment interventions. The RN will arrange for initial pain management consultations (as needed), referrals for diagnostic and additional sub-specialty care and oversee the provision of patient specific pain management education to those individuals, as well as their caregivers and significant others. Such patient specific education will be provided in multiple ways including within the pain management center as well as over the telephone and through the Albany Med patient portal. Our Pain Management team is fully committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients, working together in multidisciplinary collaboration, and advancing the field of pain medicine through innovative research and educational opportunities for our patients, colleagues, and community. This candidate will serve as a valuable resource to all those patients presenting to AMC Neurology for their pain management needs, and will be a key asset to the Pain Management team. Minimum Qualifications: ---Associate's degree of a state accredited Registered Nursing program is required, BSN is preferred ---Valid and current NYS RN licensure is required ---Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably working within pain management and/or Neurology patients ---High level of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, providers and coworkers ---Passion to learn, grow and develop in the program ---Maintain the highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities Thank you for your interest in Albany Medical Center!--- Albany Medical is an equal opportunity employer.
