We have an exciting opportunity for a US TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business.

The Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx) National Training & Development Manager will be a key contributor to the training and development of all field sales, management and technical personnel for the Abbott Infectious Disease (ID) and Cardio Metabolic (CM) business units. Products include, but are not limited to, the CardioMetabolic portfolio, Infectious Disease, Distribution Products, and Informatics solutions. The ARDx National Training & Development Manager will also partner with the Corporate Accounts, CardioMetabolic and Infectious Disease Marketing, Wellness Solutions Group and Acute Care Solutions Group on any training and development needs as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Minimum 8 years successful outside sales experience and/or training experience

3 years of experience with ARDx or point of care diagnostics and its associated customers and products is preferred but not a requirement.

Responsible for administering and executing training programs for ARDx ID and CM products. This includes training and support for both new hires and tenured employees.

In coordination with the Director, provide written assessment following new hire training to the RSD with regards to the employees performance and highlighting the strengths and weaknesses that were observed.

Ensure quiz / certification results are accurately captured in a repository and reported to applicable leadership.

Aid in the continued development and fine-tuning of the 180-day new hire action plan - Administer and follow this plan for all new hires.

Work with the National Training and Development Director, Marketing, and other functions / stakeholders to identify training gaps / needs and ensure content development is completed as directed

Oversee all logistics associated with new hire training classes, new manager training, product review sessions, corporate, and all required training initiatives deemed necessary by ARDx ID and CM Business Units.

Collect data and estimates that factor into overall budget estimates

Ensure all necessary materials required for training events are identified, created and/or procured

Create Competency quizzes and Knowledge Checks In partnership with the Director

Provide guidance and serve as a resource to ARDx Field Coaches.

Responsible for ensuring that training materials on the METRO learning platform are kept up to date and working with METRO resources to ensure that any new applicable training modules are properly installed and functioning. .

Lead select sales training sessions for ARDx new hires and serve as a resource to these in their first 180 days and onward.

MANAGING AND MEASURING WORK Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions, sets clear objectives and measures, monitors process, progress, and results, designs feedback loop into work.

ADAPTABILITY Ability to adapt and quickly apply creative thinking to a situation to determine alternative approaches to achieve a successful outcome.

TIME MANAGEMENT Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple workstreams at one time



REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Bachelors degree in Sales/Marketing, Business Management or other related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3 years successful sales and/or training experience

Minimum 1 year of experience with ARDx and its associated customers and products is preferred but not a requirement.

Demonstrated ability to train and coach other individuals through field coaching, leadership within region and other opportunities in the field or past positions.

Previous training experience is preferred, but not a requirement.

Bachelors degree in Sales/Marketing, Business Management or other related field.
