Clinical Education Coordinator

Job Description:

The Clinical Education Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Scientific and Clinical Affairs team in the logistical support of global physician education and other select corporate events. In addition, this role will collaborate with internal business partners, vendors, and suppliers to support key objectives of the Company's physician education programs, supporting all clinical education programs delivered through various channels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Takes direction from the Education Director in collecting key objectives and reports to stakeholders the combined consensus for educational programs across all divisions.
Assists in maintaining relationships with key physician educators and facilities, product management, sales management, and regulatory affairs.
Assists with developing the annual physician education calendar, including publishing individual deadlines related to the training's time, location, and content to be delivered to the customer and field sales force.
Coordinates educational programs to both AngioDynamics' current and potential customer base and other potential market spaces.
Prepares uses and reports on metrics to assist in measuring the effectiveness and success of all educational programs.
Attends educational events as assigned, coordinates all logistics and event materials before and during events.
On occasion, attends educational events during evening and weekend time periods.
Establishes/maintains a library of educational course materials accessible for external physicians, nurses, mid-level practitioners, and other clinicians, including a learning management system.
Maintains an educational database, publishes educational schedules and coordinates required materials for educational programs.
Ensures remuneration to healthcare providers working in partnership with AngioDynamics is managed and done per Company policies and AdvaMed guidelines.
Provides timely communication of all physician education logistics/deadlines to Brand Managers, Product Managers, Field Sales Managers, and Field sales force, including sponsorship and educational grants, event registration, hotel reservations, printing, and advertising.
Responsible for creating purchase orders and related reporting and internal processes to provide payment to consulting physicians.
Assists with maintaining the integrity of all programs and course materials, including formatting in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Assists with regulatory and other internal departments to ensure proper adherence to regulatory and quality system processes and regulations and helps obtain approvals for all education materials.
May perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
Bachelors -Level of Degree in another field of study
Equivalent work-related experience acceptable in lieu of degree - - - -No
2 years of demonstrated experience in -events/meeting planning, emphasizing clinical or scientific societies.
Experience with all facets of event coordination, including travel and logistics and Sunshine Act reporting
No -Certifications Required
Any preferred education, experience, or certifications: - - Medical device background is a plus

Skills/Knowledge
Proficient in the following computer software applications: -Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Well-developed project management and organizational skills.
Ability to build and maintain key relationships across the Company and with physicians and internal and external training staff.
Self-starter must multi-task and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to quickly provide solutions to a variety of problems.
Knowledge of healthcare/medical education guidelines.
Excellent writing and grammatical skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and experience referencing medical literature.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
