The Perioperative RN Coordinator - Control Desk reports to the Nurse Manager and holds a key leadership position within the division. This nurse must have strong leadership and communication skills in order to maintain a safe and caring environment that supports excellence in clinical practice and customer service. This individual serves as a unit-based leader and acts as a liaison to clinical staff, physicians, support staff, and others involved in promoting positive patient outcomes across the continuum.

Ensures the provision of adequate and appropriate clinical assignments for a specific specialty. Acts as a resource for staff assistance to meet critical needs, augment staffing, and responds to emergencies when all available resources are utilized. Collaborates with nursing supervision and leadership to ensure patient flow and throughput. Facilitates the daily schedule with Anesthesia floor coordinator on an ongoing basis.
