AP/CP Pathologist opening in NY Located in Cooperstown, NY Albany 70m; Syracuse 90m; New York City 190m Description: AP/CP Pathologist needed to join this integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields. The network employs more than 400 full-time salaried physicians and advanced practice clinicians who focus on patient centered care. This is a unique opportunity to practice at an academic teaching hospital within a small-town setting. Job Summary: Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network. Responsibilities: - Primary duties are anatomic pathology sign-out. - General practice including minor teaching responsibilities and directorship of outlying network laboratory. - Approximately 18,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases examined annually with the support of Pathologists Assistants and Cytotechnologists Job Qualifications: - MD/DO - Board Certification - Possession of or ability to obtain NYS Licensure and NYS certificate of qualification (COQ) Benefits: - Medical, dental and vision insurance - Paid time off, including vacations and holidays - Life insurance and disability protection - Paid Malpractice - Retirement benefits - CME time and money - Moving Allowance
