qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Albany, New York, 12208 Pay
Information $2,429 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Float Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2
years of experience License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS
Must-Have: Epic experience Description: Nurses in the Progressive
Critical Care Unit care for medically delicate and surgically
complex patients. Common conditions include respiratory failure,
sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction,
endocrine disorders, and complex traumas. Nurses must be competent
in the care of medical and surgical populations with advanced
hemodynamics, including pressor usage. Experience in administering
antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips,
thrombo-embolytics, and managing devices like a-line, CVP, EVD, and
ortho traction is required. Infection prevention protocols and
knowledge of HFNC, BiPap/CPAP, and oxypendent care are essential.
Nurses with experience in large-scale adult PCUs and community
hospital ICUs tend to excel. The average patient load is three
high-acuity patients. Block scheduling will not be approved.
