Job Description:
A new Universal Care Unit is launching in July 2025, designed to
flex between intermediate and critical care levels. The unit will
open with 4 beds and expand to 8 by August. We're seeking
experienced critical care RNs to support safe, high-acuity care
during the initial phase. Nurse-to-patient ratios will vary based
on acuity, with a standard of 4:1. Candidates must be flexible and
willing to float to lower-acuity units, such as Med/Tele, as
needed. Orientation will include a hybrid model with opportunities
to shadow and train on key systems, equipment, and workflows.
Candidates should be confident managing common critical care drips
(Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, Levophed), work well independently,
and thrive in a startup-style environment. Familiarity with process
improvement models (e.g., PDSA cycles) is a plus. Tele-intensivist
support will be available. Interviews are required.
