Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CT Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist Location New York, NY Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Tuesday - Thursday: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (no on-call responsibilities required) Job Description The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The CT Technologist utilizes their modality expertise to create diagnostic images while ensuring a safe and positive experience for patients. Technologists engage in trauma and emergency room scanning, and conduct CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those in intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. They also support ongoing learning and teach as the technology evolves while practicing and enforcing radiation safety measures as per New York State Department of Health regulations. Responsibilities - Perform technical procedures for CT examinations. - Assist in clinical evaluation and care of patients. - Ensure a safe and positive patient experience. - Support teaching and continuous learning of new technologies. - Practice and enforce radiation safety measures. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Must be a graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School. - New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or limited permit to practice. - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. - Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification. - Entry level consideration will be given to candidates with limited or no experience.
