Shift Differentials: Available for night, weekend, and additional shifts Workplace: Jefferson City, MO Qualifications: Candidates must have completed a Radiology program and possess an ARRT-R credential, along with obtaining ARRT in Mammography within 12 months of employment. Prior experience in mammography is essential. Join our team and fulfill your calling. Apply today! Position Overview: This role involves providing mammography imaging services. Key Responsibilities: Operate equipment and conduct various mammography procedures, ensuring proper patient preparation and positioning while selecting appropriate technical parameters. Communicate procedures clearly and educate patients on the importance of regular mammography for preventive breast health. Assess and enhance image quality, focusing on aspects such as density, contrast, definition, and distortion. Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines. Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, ensuring accuracy in patient data and history. Maintain equipment functionality and report any issues to the relevant personnel. Help keep the department organized and clean, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms. Maintain a state of alertness and safety at all times. Perform additional duties as assigned. Educational Requirements: Completion of a Radiology Technology program. Experience: No prior experience is necessary. Physical Demands: Regular standing and walking. Frequent visual acuity for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances. Regular use of hearing and speech for effective communication. Ability to hear body sounds and alarms from equipment. Frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Regularly assist in moving patients. Frequent reaching, gripping, and data entry tasks. Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs. Occasional color vision for identification tasks. Occasional bending, stooping, and repetitive movements. Rarely kneeling or sitting.
