Certificate Certifications: NBSTSA, BLS Must-Have: Completion of
Operating Room Orientation required Description: As a member of the
healthcare team and under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the
OB Technician assists nursing personnel in the delivery of patient
care. The OB Technician serves as the scrub technician in Cesarean
Sections and selected OB/GYN procedures. This position assumes
responsibility for a safe environment and appropriate utilization
of resources. This role includes the cleaning, maintenance, and
processing of instruments and equipment. The OB Tech restocks and
prepares rooms within the unit. Additionally, the OB Tech provides
rapid response to patient and family needs and requests. The unit
has a rich history of providing outstanding personalized care
during births. Patient rooms feature individual temperature
controls and the latest in birthing technology and equipment. There
is an expanded special care nursery for newborns needing advanced
care. The facility offers upgraded lighting designed to enhance the
birthing experience. Single-room care is provided, allowing mothers
to remain in the same private room throughout the birthing process.
This approach is found to be more relaxing and less stressful for
mothers. The facility is known for its family-focused birthing
environment with continuous support. The census includes
approximately 90-100 deliveries per month. Requirements Required
