Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: New York license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department. Experience in a Level III Trauma Center or Primary Stroke Center. Travel experience: First-time travelers accepted. General emergency department skills for both adults and pediatrics. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Experience with blood product administration and central line care. Phlebotomy and starting IVs. Management of continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors. Experience with a range of conditions, including CVA, neuro-trauma, and spinal cord injury. Experience with traumatic brain injury, ortho-trauma, abdominal pain, and asthma. Ability to identify and report abuse, manage infections, and handle mental/behavioral health conditions. Knowledge of respiratory infections, seizures, urinary tract infections, and care for ventilated patients. Experience with traumatic injuries such as gunshot wounds and traumatic amputation. Description: This position requires a registered nurse with a strong background in emergency care. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
