Job Description:
Join our esteemed Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse II
on the dedicated D4N Medical Cardiology unit. As a key healthcare
provider, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality
cardiac care. Our unit is committed to pioneering advancements in
medical cardiology through exceptional patient care aligned with
our hybrid mission of teaching, research, and service. In this
role, you are expected to collaborate closely with a
multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, educate
patients and their families, and participate in continuous learning
and research opportunities. Provide clinical nursing care with a
focus on cardiac patients. Administer medications, monitor vital
signs, and maintain records of patients' health condition. Educate
patients and their families on disease management, prevention, and
lifestyle adjustments specific to cardiology. Participate in
interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan patient care.
Implement patient care plans in conjunction with other medical
professionals. Assist in cardiac rehabilitation and recovery
programs. Engage in continuous professional development and
clinical training. Proficiency in using EKG machines, patient
monitoring systems, and other medical hardware. Strong
understanding of cardiology diseases, treatment protocols, and
emergency response. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Capable of managing stress and making informed clinical
decisions in a fast-paced environment. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Current registered nurse
(RN) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
