Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II
for our Colorectal Surgery Urology unit. This role demands a
compassionate professional with excellent clinical skills, prepared
to work in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will
join a team driven by a mission to provide outstanding medical care
through cutting-edge treatments and compassionate patient
interaction. You'll collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians,
and healthcare professionals in a leading academic medical center
focused on both patient care and medical innovation. Administer
nursing care to patients undergoing colorectal and urological
surgeries. Collaborate with surgeons and physicians to plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Monitor, record, and
report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. Operate
medical equipment and assist with patient examinations and surgical
procedures. Educate patients and their families on surgical
processes, postoperative care, and lifestyle adjustments.
Participate in research and continuous improvement initiatives
within the surgery units. Proficiency in clinical skills related to
colorectal and urological surgery nursing Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented
environment High level of empathy and patient-focused care
Technical skills to operate standard and specialized medical
equipment Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
practice Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac
Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
