We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to serve in our Post-Surgical Short Stay unit on Ward C6. This role is crucial for providing high-quality post-operative care to patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures. The successful candidate will ensure optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic, supportive environment focused on continuous improvement and comprehensive patient care. Assess, plan and implement post-surgical nursing care to patients in accordance with facility protocols. Monitor patient recovery and adjust care plans based on patient status and surgical procedure complexities. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and families on post-operative care procedures and expectations. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care and progression. Adhere to all hospital safety standards and infection control protocols. Strong clinical skills in a surgical setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems Ability to work collaboratively in a high-stress environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of New York Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
