Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare services, is
seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to join our Post-Surgical
Short Stay unit on C6. This role demands a compassionate and
skilled professional focused on providing exceptional care to
patients recovering from surgical procedures. The ideal candidate
will contribute to a supportive environment that reflects our
commitment to patient care, education, and research. This position
requires a detailed understanding of post-surgical care practices,
excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to work
effectively in a fast-paced environment. Assess patient health
problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and
maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured,
convalescent, or disabled patients. Advise patients on health
maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients'
conditions. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records of
patient care management. Operate and monitor medical equipment.
Initiate appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing
procedures. Proficiency in clinical skills related to post-surgical
care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Capability to
handle stress and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with healthcare
software and systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of
employment. BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart
Association. Any specialty certifications related to surgical
nursing or acute care may be advantageous.
