Albany Medical Center seeks a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our Medical/Surgical Hospitalist team on the E3 Unit, working a consistent day shift for 36 hours per week. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management Liaise with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and other stakeholders to ensure quality of care Participate in educational workshops to enhance professional knowledge and remain updated with advancements in the field Engage in research activities aimed at improving standards of care and patient outcomes as part of the broader Albany Medical Center mission Strong clinical abilities in a medical/surgical environment Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in using healthcare software and systems Ability to perform well in a team-oriented, fast-paced setting High attentiveness to detail, especially in patient charting and monitoring Medical Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in the state of New York Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
