Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II
for our D5E Neuro Progressive Care Unit. This role involves
providing comprehensive care and support for patients suffering
from neurological disorders and injuries. The successful candidate
will be a part of a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional
patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and continually
improving treatment protocols through collaboration with a top-tier
staff of healthcare professionals. Assess, plan, and implement
nursing care for neurological patients based on individual needs.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary in
conjunction with the healthcare team. Educate patients and their
families about disease processes, treatment plans, and health
maintenance. Manage patient medications and treatments with
precision and adherence to established protocols. Work
collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient
outcomes and department efficiency. Participate in research and
quality improvement initiatives. Strong clinical skills with a
focus on neuro care High competence in interpreting patient data
and electronic medical records Excellent communication and teamwork
abilities Ability to manage complex patient situations Proficiency
with healthcare technologies and systems relevant to patient care
Medical Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
practice Certification in Neuroscience Nursing (CNRN) preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
certification
