Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system combining

groundbreaking research, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II
for our South Clinical Campus Operating Room. This role is pivotal
in providing high-quality surgical care, collaborating with a team
of skilled healthcare professionals, and utilizing state-of-the-art
medical technology. The ideal candidate will possess advanced
clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and a commitment to
continuing education and research in the medical field. Provide
direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the
application of scientific nursing principles Assist in the
performance of surgical procedures and offer technical,
educational, and emotional support to patients and their families
Monitor patient health and record signs, administer medications and
interventions, manage pain and implement strategies to prevent
disease Collaborate with surgical teams and other health
professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with
procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control
policies and protocols Proficiency in general nursing skills,
including aseptic and sterile techniques Strong interpersonal and
communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced,
high-stress environment In-depth knowledge of health and safety
guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.)
Critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions quickly
