Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a distinguished healthcare system that

seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse III for our South Clinical
Campus Operating Room. This role is pivotal in providing
high-quality, patient-centered care in a state-of-the-art clinical
environment. The successful candidate will utilize advanced nursing
skills, a deep knowledge of procedure protocols, and a
compassionate approach to patient care to enhance our surgical
team's functionality and patient outcomes. Provide direct and
individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of
scientific nursing principles. Assist in the performance of
surgical procedures, ensuring efficient operations and patient
safety. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as
appropriate using computerized documentation systems. Implement and
maintain sterile conditions, handle medication effectively, and
coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement,
and evaluate patient care plans. Mentor and lead junior nursing
staff, promoting best practices and continual learning within the
surgical unit. Expertise in perioperative nursing practices. Strong
communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using
healthcare software and electronic health records. Ability to work
collaboratively in a high-stress environment. Strong analytical and
critical thinking skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
in the state of practice. Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR)
certification preferred.
