Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation and
education, is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse III for our
Adult Emergency Department. This role demands a dedicated and
skilled professional with a proven track record in emergency
nursing care. The successful candidate will be tasked with
providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, high-stakes
environment while contributing to the improvement of clinical
practices and patient outcomes as part of a dynamic healthcare
team. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the
emergency department, ensuring timely and empathetic care. Assess,
plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration
with interdisciplinary healthcare team members. Administer
medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor responses.
Advocate for patients and their families, providing information and
support. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying
with procedures, rules, and regulations. Document patient care
services by charting in patient and department records. Enhance
department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for
accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities
to add value to job accomplishments. Advanced knowledge of
emergency care procedures and protocols. Proficiency with medical
software and equipment used in emergency care settings. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under
pressure and make quick decisions. High level of empathy and
patient focus. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of
practice. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
preferred.
