Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled
Clinical Nurse II to join our South Clinical Campus Operating Room
team. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier patient care and
supporting our commitment to improving health outcomes through
innovative practices. As a key member of our OR team, you will work
in a dynamic environment that integrates clinical practice with
education and research, offering ample opportunities for
professional growth and development. Provide direct and specialized
nursing services to patients in the operating room. Assist surgeons
during operations and maintain a sterile environment. Administer
medications, monitor vital signs, and maintain patient records.
Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and
post-operative care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
to discuss patient treatment plans. Contribute to nursing research
and implement evidence-based practices. Proficiency in handling OR
instruments and technology. Strong interpersonal and communication
skills. Ability to work effectively in high pressure environments.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Critical thinking
and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to
practice in the state of New York. Basic Life Support (BLS) and
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
