Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in patient care, medical
education, and research, is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse
II to join our Post-Surgical Short Stay team on Ward C6. This
position offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality,
personalized care in a dynamic environment focused on post-surgical
recovery. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate, dedicated nursing
professional committed to achieving optimal patient outcomes and
maintaining the highest standards of safety. Provide direct nursing
care for post-surgical patients in a short stay unit. Monitor
patient health and post-operative recovery, adjusting care plans as
necessary. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for
adverse reactions. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists,
and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient
care. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care
and discharge planning. Ensure documentation is complete, accurate,
and complies with regulatory and hospital requirements. Participate
in ward rounds and provide feedback on patient progress. Strong
clinical skills in a post-surgical environment Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively
in a team Proficient in using medical software and patient
management systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the
state of New York BLS/ACLS certification Certification in Surgical
Nursing preferred
