Job Description:

Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our General Surgery/Trauma unit. This position will encompass night shifts, providing care in a dynamic environment that combines compassionate care with advanced surgical procedures. As part of Albany Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work in a leading healthcare system known for its dedication to improving health through excellent patient care and comprehensive medical education. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in a high-acuity surgery/trauma setting. Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately and completely. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Participate in educational programs to maintain current skills and competence. Support patient and family education with respect to wellness, prevention and early detection. Proficiency in clinical skills with an ability to handle high-stress situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Knowledge of healthcare software and systems Medical Insurance Life Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
