Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system known for its commitment to advanced medical education, biomedical research, and superior patient care, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to join our Adult Emergency Department. This position requires working 36 hours per week during night shifts, providing critical care to adults in emergency situations. Our ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to function effectively under high pressure. Provide high-quality clinical care to patients in the emergency department. Assess patients’ health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans. Maintain medical records and administer medications as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient recovery and respond to emergencies with swift, decisive actions. Educate patients and their families on injury prevention and disease prevention. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to improve patient outcomes. Advanced life support capabilities Excellent patient assessment skills Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of practice. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a plus.
