Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, recognized for integrating a leading

position of Clinical Nurse II in the Hematology/Oncology
department. This role demands a compassionate and skilled nursing
professional committed to delivering high-quality patient care and
advancing their expertise in a collaborative and dynamic clinical
setting. Provide direct nursing care to hematology and oncology
patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and
protocols of Albany Medical Center. Implement and monitor patient
care plans and medications efficiently. Maintain detailed
documentation of patient statuses and treatment progress.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient
treatment and recovery. Educate patients and their families about
disease processes, treatment, and self-care skills. Participate in
research opportunities and continuous education to remain updated
in the field. Strong clinical skills with a focus in hematology and
oncology. Ability to cope with high levels of stress and emotional
situations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in managing multiple cases simultaneously. Competency
in healthcare software and electronic medical records. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is preferred. Basic
Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
certifications.
