Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system, is seeking a
dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our Operating Room at the South
Clinical Campus. This position offers the unique opportunity to

care in the operating room following established standards and
procedures. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess,
plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Monitor patient
reactions to medications and treatment, documenting adverse
reactions and ensuring communication between doctor, patient, and
family. Assist in the operation room as needed, preparing equipment
and aiding physicians during surgeries. Participate in training and
mentorship of new staff and nursing students. Maintain patient
privacy and confidentiality in accordance with sector regulations
and hospital policy. Contribute to research and review of case
studies to enhance best practices within the hospital. Proficiency
in operating room procedures and standards. Strong interpersonal
and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and
respond to emergency situations effectively. Skilled in the use of
medical software and the handling of medical instruments. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Current
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Preference for candidates with
CNOR certification.
