Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled
Clinical Nurse II to join our Operating Room team at the South
Clinical Campus. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality,
compassionate care to our patients, while operating within a
dynamic and innovative healthcare environment that includes a
top-tier hospital and an esteemed medical college. The ideal
candidate will thrive in fast-paced settings and demonstrate a

patient care, and biomedical research. Manage patient care in the
operating room, ensuring compliance with surgical standards and
safety practices. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and
other surgical staff to plan and execute surgeries. Monitor patient
conditions during surgery and provide immediate post-operative
care. Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures,
pre-operative preparation, and post-operative care. Maintain a
clean and sterile environment in the operating room. Participate in
ongoing training and professional development related to surgical
procedures and patient care. Strong clinical skills in a surgical
setting Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in
using medical software and electronic health records Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) preferred
