Job Description:
Albany Medical Center seeks a dedicated and skilled Clinical
Nurse II to join our D7 General Pediatrics team on a per diem
basis. The selected candidate will contribute to a caring and
innovative environment where we provide expert medical care for
children from infancy through adolescence. This role is ideal for
experienced nurses who excel in compassionate patient care and are
skilled in adjusting to the dynamic needs of pediatric patients.
The Clinical Nurse II will work collaboratively with a
multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and contribute
to the mission of Albany Medical Center, which is dedicated to
medical education, biomedical research, and superior patient care.
Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in accordance
with established protocols and procedures. Assess patient
conditions and administer appropriate treatments. Maintain accurate
patient records and communicate patient progress to members of the
healthcare team. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and
other nursing staff to develop and implement comprehensive care
plans. Educate and support patients and their families regarding
treatment plans, post-discharge care, and health maintenance. Adapt
to varied patient needs and respond to emergencies efficiently.
Participate in continuous education to stay current with pediatric
nursing practices and standards. Strong clinical skills with a
focus on pediatric care Ability to assess and manage multiple
patients Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with electronic medical record systems Capacity to make
critical decisions under pressure Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Valid RN license in the
state of New York CPR certified PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life
Support) certification preferred
