Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse III to join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)/Neurological Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). The position requires a compassionate and resilient professional to manage patient care in a fast-paced, complex environment. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in critical care nursing, demonstrating a deep understanding of patient needs in high-intensity settings. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients requiring high-intensity therapies and interventions. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems. Implement and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessment and multidisciplinary team recommendations. Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively in alignment with policies and procedures. Advocate for patients and their families to ensure the best possible outcomes, educating them on conditions and treatment options. Advanced knowledge of critical care nursing practices. Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred.
