Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare services combined
with a top-tier medical school, is looking for a dedicated Clinical
Nurse III to join our Neuro Progressive Care Unit. This position
requires a compassionate professional with a strong background in
neurological care, who can manage complex patient situations and
advance our mission of excellent patient care, medical education,
and biomedical research. The ideal candidate will have extensive
nursing experience, particularly in neurology and progressive care,
and will be committed to upholding the highest standards of care
and safety. Provide direct and specialized nursing care to patients
in the Neuro Progressive Care Unit. Assess, plan, implement, and
evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
Monitor patients for changes in condition, complications, and
recovery, managing complex patient needs. Educate patients and
their families on disease processes, treatment, and home care
preparation. Supervise and mentor junior nurses and support staff
to ensure excellence in patient care. Maintain detailed and
accurate patient records compliant with medical and legal
requirements. Advanced knowledge of neurological disorders and care
requirements. Proficiency in using medical software for patient
care management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to
perform under stressful situations and manage emergencies. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Valid
registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Certification in Neurological Care (CNRN) preferred. Basic Life
Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
certification required.
