Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Mar 16, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg/Infectious Disease night shift position requiring a NY RN license and recent Epic EMR experience. Details - Position is on the Infectious Disease unit (C4) in an acute care hospital - Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - Care for adult infectious disease patients in a med-surg setting - EPIC EMR system is used and experience with EPIC is required - No blocked scheduling is permitted Requirements - Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration - At least 2 years of recent med-surg or infectious disease RN experience required - Certifications must be AHA or RQI approved - EPIC EMR experience required for all candidates - No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months - US Social Security Number is required; Canadian SIN is not accepted - Flu vaccination is required, with only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional accepted - RTO must be requested at submission Additional Information - Candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible - More than 3 call outs in a 13 week period may result in contract termination, and missed shifts must be made up within 6 weeks - Travel pairs are not allowed - Holiday coverage may be required based on facility needs - Competency testing for Med-Surg must be passed in two attempts if under 2 years of experience - Candidates may submit to only one position at a time American Traveler Job ID P-673819.
