Job Description Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a School Services Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Poughkeepsie, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist - Discipline: School Services - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 29 weeks - 35 hours per week - Shift: 7 hours - Employment Type: Travel A great School is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist / SLP to join their growing team for a contract assignment! The Speech Language Pathologist / SLP is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require treatment for speech, hearing and or language deficits. The Speech Language Pathologist / SLP will teach patients how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase their oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively. Also, the Speech Language Pathologist / SLP will teach individuals how to strengthen muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking or inhaling food or liquid. Requirements include: - Completion of master’s degree Program from an accredited College/University. - Licensed by NYS Department of Education as a Speech Pathologist or CFY eligible. - NYS teacher certification required. TSSLD - Experience with oral motor, dysphagia, and augmentative communications helpful!
