Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system renowned for
its merging of a premier hospital with a top-tier medical college,
invites experienced nurses to join our dedicated Colorectal Surgery
and Urology team as a Clinical Nurse II. This role is pivotal in
providing high-quality patient care as well as supporting our
mission in advancing medical education and research in the field.
Candidates will be integral to our team, working closely with
surgeons and specialists to deliver treatment and care tailored to
the specific needs of our patients undergoing colorectal and
urological procedures. Provide comprehensive nursing care to
patients undergoing colorectal and urological surgeries. Assist in
surgical procedures and ensure compliance with all health and
safety standards. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to
plan, implement, and evaluate patient treatment plans. Monitor
patient progress and adapt care plans based on patient responses
and medical advice. Educate patients and their families on
diagnoses, treatment options, and post-operative care requirements.
Participate in research studies and apply new knowledge to improve
patient outcomes and nursing practices. Strong surgical nursing
skills Excellent patient assessment capabilities Ability to work
effectively in a high-pressure environment Proficient in using
medical software for patient care management Strong communication
and teamwork skills Medical Insurance Registered Nurse (RN)
licensed to practice Possession of or eligibility for a New York
State RN license Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
