Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation combining top-tier patient care with critical research and education, is seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Technologist III. This position requires advanced competency in medical imaging technology and provides an opportunity to work within an integrated healthcare system dedicated to improving patient outcomes through cutting-edge diagnostics. As a Medical Imaging Tech III, you will be responsible for performing complex imaging procedures and supporting the imaging needs of medical professionals, ensuring the highest quality diagnostic images are produced. Perform complex imaging procedures using MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and other diagnostic technologies. Ensure all imaging follow specified protocols and meet internal and regulatory requirements. Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures. Document imaging processes and results, maintaining accurate patient records. Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to interpret imaging results and provide data for diagnoses. Oversee and maintain imaging equipment, reporting issues and ensuring regular maintenance. Train and mentor junior imaging technicians and support staff. Proficiency in multiple imaging modalities, including MRI, CT, and Ultrasound. Ability to adhere strictly to safety guidelines and protocols. Strong technical skills with the capacity to operate and troubleshoot complex imaging equipment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with medical staff and patients. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Certified and currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additional certifications in MRI, CT, or other relevant modalities are highly desirable.
