Job Description:
Albany Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled
Clinical Nurse III to join our Adult Emergency Department. This
role is crucial in our mission to provide exemplary care and
support to patients in emergency medical situations. The candidate
will work in a dynamic environment where they will leverage their
advanced nursing skills to improve patient outcomes and support our
commitment to healthcare excellence. This position requires a
professional who is prepared to handle a high level of complexity
in patient conditions and who thrives in fast-paced settings.
Provide comprehensive and emergency medical care to patients.
Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement
nursing care plans. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and patient
records. Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients'
responses and conditions. Consult and coordinate with healthcare
team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care
plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a
physician or according to established policies and protocols.
Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical
activity. Instruct patients and their families on proper care, and
help individuals take steps to improve or maintain their health.
Advanced ability to perform and interpret diagnostic tests. Skill
in providing emergency and palliative care. Proficiency in using
medical software for patient management. Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills. Capability to react calmly and
effectively in urgent situations. Medical Insurance Registered
Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in the state. Certification in
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Certification in Pediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS). Certification from the Certified
Emergency Nurse (CEN) is preferred.
