Job Description:

Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation that integrates a top-tier hospital with a cutting-edge medical college, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our specialized C4/C3W units. These units focus on managing Infectious Diseases within a secure environment to ensure the highest standard of safety and care for our patients. This role demands a high degree of professionalism, clinical expertise, and a commitment to compassionate patient care. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Follow established nursing practices to manage infectious diseases within a secure unit. Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of patient information. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by health care providers. Instruct and counsel patients and families on treatment plans and health maintenance. Ensure adherence to safety standards and precautions, including the application of infection control measures specific to infectious diseases. Strong clinical and patient management skills within Infectious Disease contexts. Expertise in infection control practices and secure unit operations. Ability to work well in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interprofessional collaboration abilities. Effective crisis intervention techniques. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of New York. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
