Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system that integrates a high-caliber hospital with a dedicated medical college, is seeking a Clinical Nurse II for our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)/Neurological Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU). The successful candidate will deliver exceptional care to patients with critical surgical and neurological conditions, support continuous improvement initiatives, and participate in educational activities. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the SICU and Neuro ICU settings. Monitor patient status and respond to complex health issues with a high degree of clinical judgment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care efficiency. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and health management strategies. Advanced clinical skills in a critical care environment Strong communication and collaboration abilities Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
