Interventional Radiology Location: Watertown, NY Agency: Bluebix Health Inc Pay: $70 to $80 per hour Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a skilled Radiology Specialist Assistant for a 13-week contract assignment in the Interventional Radiology department. This role involves providing patient care services under physician supervision, assisting with advanced radiologic procedures, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across all age groups. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in interventional radiology and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures and patient management Perform patient assessments using age-specific care principles Conduct and assist with procedures such as: Fluoroscopic studies (e.g., upper GI, small bowel follow-through, enemas) Joint injections under imaging guidance Paracentesis and thoracentesis Abscess drain placements (ultrasound/CT guided) Bone marrow biopsies and image-guided biopsies Breast biopsies (ultrasound & stereotactic) with marker placement Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and maintain supply inventory Monitor patients pre-, during, and post-procedure Educate patients and obtain informed consent Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and technologists Respond effectively to emergency situations Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or related specialty Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (required) ARRT (Radiography) certification (required) BLS certification (required) | ACLS preferred Radiologist Assistant (RA/RRA) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification (preferred) Strong knowledge of imaging-guided procedures Excellent clinical, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment No local candidates within a 100-mile radius Benefits Competitive weekly pay Overtime pay: Daily OT after 24 hours (multiplier-based) Weekly OT after 48 hours (multiplier-based) Opportunity to work in a specialized interventional radiology setting Collaborative and supportive clinical team
