Job Description WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Acute Care for a local contract nursing job in Utica, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Acute Care - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Utica, NY. This role is ideal for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast?paced environment and is confident caring for patients experiencing life?threatening conditions. Job Function: /n - Night Shift. /n - 3x12: 6:30pm- 7am. /n - Manage the care of adult and/or pediatric patients with critical, life?threatening conditions requiring rapid assessment and high?intensity interventions. /n - Provide emotional support, education, and clear communication to patients and families during emergency situations. /n - Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, recognizing when early intervention is needed. /n - Prepare patients for surgery, imaging, and diagnostic procedures. /n - Perform essential emergency procedures including IV insertion, medication administration, blood draws, and airway support (intubation assistance). /n - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR. /n /n Job Requirements: /n - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). /n - Current RN license for the state that you are working in (or willingness to obtain). /n - 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience is required, with some Pediatric experience. /n - BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association are required. /n - Excellent communication and customer service skills. /n /n /n Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
