Job DescriptionTITLE: Guest Services SupervisorLOCATION: Clifton Park East REPORTS TO: Senior Branch Manager CLASSIFICATION: Part Time, Non ExemptAVAILABILITY: 30 hours per week; Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm, Friday 8:30am-6:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm *Availability 3 Saturdays per month preferred Pioneer remains committed to ensuring our organization is a safe place to work and do business. Position Summary:Responsible for managing the daily operations of the branch workflow while helping to initiate sales of various branch services and amenities including, but not limited to, the exchange of cash and/or negotiable items, parcel materials, postage and mailings, merchant gift card sales, copy services etc. based on interaction of Bank consumers. Guest Service Supervisor's should set the example of delivering quality customer service and consultatively recommend Bank products and other amenities. This includes assisting and responding to customers and prospects on the phone, as well as in person. Essential Job Functions:

  • Deliver first-class concierge customer service to consumers consistently.
  • Ensure that consumers & customers are served efficiently with their transactions, including Deposits/withdrawals to accounts, payments on loans, check cashing, Money order purchases, etc. Handle auxiliary requests regarding non-deposit products and services.
  • Coaches, counsels, trains and develops Guest Services Specialists in all aspects of their work, including their sales competencies.
  • Responsible for managing the branch cash supply.
  • Coordinates the proving process and prepares all required reports. Perform daily proof of transactions and cash.
  • Consistently achieves sales goals, actively participates and encourages participation in all branch/Bank promotions and may help to develop branch specific sales contests.
  • Communicates with consumers/customers, regarding complaints and inquiries, both in person and on the phone.
  • Sell loan services, interview loan applicants, preliminarily process loan applications for all loans, except mortgages.
  • Recommend, sell, open, maintain, service, close and renew (if appropriate), all types of deposit services.
  • Recommend/refer investment options and insurance products.
  • Recommend, sell, and service other consumer merchandise & services available through the Shops at Pioneer.
  • Perform computer transactions to affect the customer's accounts when transactions are made.
  • Calculate and count change and/or monies due from customers, based on the transactions they request.
  • Promote & sell Bank services and products to customers in a consultative manner.
  • Lease, provide access to and close safe deposit boxes. Education & Experience:
  • Must possess basic knowledge of the Bank's cash management & security policies and procedures and demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Supervisors must also have excellent human relations skills in dealing with bank staff, consumers and customers.
  • Ability to learn and use business equipment quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to answer telephones & take accurate messages.
  • Must maintain friendly, professional disposition and display accurate and concise communications skills.
  • Guest Services Supervisors must be assertive in selling Bank products & other Retail merchandise and services.
  • Must have ability to communicate clearly and accurately both orally and in writing and to read and follow policies, procedures, and basic mechanical instructions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, ability to professionally represent Pioneer Bank to outside businesses and/or customer contacts.
