Minimum Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college
or university in a related field and eight (8) years of relevant
experience; or An equivalent combination of education and
experience.Candidates must have a proven track record and technical
competency in all areas of human resources. Preference will be
given to candidates with public sector experience in a unionized
environment.
Duties Description This position reports to the Director of Human
Resources and is responsible for assisting with the overall
leadership of human resources operations including classification &
compensation, exam development & administration, workforce
analysis, court officer staffing, judiciary benefits, training &
development, appointments, HR systems, and workers compensation.
The Deputy Director of Human Resources will work in collaboration
with court administration leaders and judicial executives on human
capital strategies and programs for over 16,000 employees across
the State of New York.Duties include, but are not limited to:
developing and implementing human resources policies and programs
to support the Judiciary's mission, strategic plan, and objectives;
working with court system managers to execute new initiatives and
assess operational and procedural feasability; engaging in
strategic planning and resource allocation to support the mission
of the courts; consulting with and advising executives, judges and
court managers regarding proper application of rules and policies
relating to a broad range of employment matters. Candidates must
have extensive human resources knowledge, proven accomplishment in
the field, and technical competency in all areas of human resources
administration. Occasional travel is required.
