We are seeking a Poultry House Operator (Part-Time) to support
the Sunrise Farms business located in Catskill, NY.
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Position (Part-Time)
The Poultry House Operator will be responsible for the
- Communicate regularly with the Farm Manager.
- Keep house and equipment clean and sanitary.
- Collect and sanitize eggs in order to provide clean SPF eggs
- Responsible for basic maintenance.
- Monitor flock for health issues and report concerns to Farm
- Perform blood draws weekly.
- Maintain biosecurity, and follow biosecurity regulations
- Monitor and maintain feeders, waterers, medicators, house
temperatures, bird weights and condition.
- Assist in training new hires.
- Ensure the humane care of the birds during all phases of the
- Perform bird sales as requested.
The following are Minimum Requirements for the Poultry House
- Must be 18 years old to apply.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week.
