Shift Assembler/Welder Mechanic in
Latham, NY. The Latham MR Magnets facility is a manufacturing and
development site for Magnetic Resonance Imaging magnets and other
superconducting products used in Philips Magnetic Resonance Imaging
and other customers. This site is part of the Magnetic Resonance
Business Innovation Unit in Philips Healthcare.
In this role as a Welder Mechanic, you will be responsible
for the following:
- Perform soldering, cutting, bending, drilling, taping, and
similar operations as required to fabricate intricate assemblies
encountered in cryogenic applications.
- Operate bridge cranes and forklift trucks.
- Perform special assignments as required by the supervisor.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and or operating
- Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds.
- Must be capable of climbing.
- Must be capable of sitting or standing for long periods of
