DescriptionAs part of a global IT Team, the Application Analyst consults, designs, implements, enhances, and/or replaces application technologies in accordance with the organization's strategic needs and specifications. This position plays a key role in supporting the IT team in exceeding business expectations while providing support across a wide range of application technologies while spending most of their capacity as a core project resource. Additional responsibilities of this role include maintenance of IT application portfolio, training and first support escalation for the application administration staff.Responsibilities and Duties

• First point of escalation for application administrator support team
• Architect and design application solutions
• Assist in the research, prototyping and selection of new/replacement application technologies.
• Define software configurations and standards
• Plan and design implementation of new / replacing application technologies
• Work directly with internal/external partners regarding new solution/feature developments and bugfixes
• Develop role and access management concepts
• Define schedule for planned service interruptions / maintenance windows
• Establish SLAs in accordance with organizational requirements
• Maintain IT application service portfolio
• Suggest and plan continual improvement for applications technologies
• Backup / Restore
• Establish and maintain application backup(s) and restore point intervals and concepts
• Define and establish application disaster recovery plan(s)
• Document and maintain application knowledge base repository
• Define/Update standard operating procedures
• Project/Change Management Support
• Participate in business projects/initiatives as a core resource
• Plan, assign and/or execute project related tasks and activities
• Create/maintain project documentation, specifications, and status reports.
• Develop and/or administer application training for end-users, administrators, and/or support staff.
• Adhere to company policies and protocols
• After hours support and maintenance as required
• Travel as necessary
• Other duties as assigned. Requirements:
  Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Basic ITIL Certification a plus
  • 3 year minimum experience administrating enterprise applicationsQualifications
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Knowledge and experience:
    • MS Windows and MS Office
    • Administering Product Information Management Software
    • Administering Product Data Management Software
    • Project methodologies (Waterfall & Agile)
    • Basic understanding of network fundamentals
    • Ability to adhere to defined processes and procedures and suggest improvements
    • Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
