Labcorp is seeking an Account Specialist to join our Customer Service team in Albany, NY. - This position will work with physician offices, hospital laboratories and internal customers to ensure that all client requests and inquiries are addressed in a timely and accurate manner. - The Account Specialist -will provide product education and handle a wide variety of questions while ensuring a world-class customer experience. -

The schedule for this position will be: Monday - Friday (9:00am-5:30pm)

The pay range for this position is $16.53/hr. to $36.11/hr. All job offers will be -based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. -Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), ESPP, Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), Company bonus where applicable.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Act a liaison between Labcorp and the clients/patients that we serve
• Resolve routine customer requests with products or services via inbound, outbound calls, or the Internet
• Speak with customers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner using protocol procedures
• Inquire, clarify, and confirm customer requirements and understanding of the solution
• Provide additional customer education and information as needed
• Qualify and establish inbound new customers requesting LabCorp's products and services
• Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions
• Notify clients of test results in a timely and accurate manner
• Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies
• Participate in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance
• Perform administrative support for medical record management, CRM data maintenance, and internal records to assure HIPAA compliance
  
  Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is highly desired
  • Previous experience in a customer service role required; preferably in a call center
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office or hospital is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs is required
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and/or Laboratory Information Systems is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent ability to listen and respond
  • Must be courteous with strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Strong flexibility and the ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities quickly
