Description:The Solar Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the landscape and overall cleanliness of solar farm grounds. This role is crucial in ensuring that our solar facilities operate efficiently and are visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or similar roles, with a strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.Key Responsibilities:Perform regular maintenance of the grounds surrounding solar panels, including mowing, trimming, and weed control.Monitor and maintain vegetation to prevent shading of solar panels, ensuring maximum efficiency.Remove debris, litter, and any obstacles that may interfere with the operation of the solar facility.Conduct routine inspections of the site to identify and report any issues related to groundskeeping or equipment.Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.Assist with the implementation of erosion control measures and other environmental protection efforts.Support the solar operations team with light maintenance tasks as needed.Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Collaborate with other team members to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or a related field.Knowledge of groundskeeping equipment and safe operation practices.Ability to work outdoors all day, 5 days a week, in various weather conditions.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Basic understanding of solar farm operations is a plus.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 70 lbs.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and own, reliable transportation.Ability to travel to project locations within a 90 mile radius of Albany, NY. Full-time and part-time, variable hour, seasonal positions are available. This is a Monday-Friday position.Compensation details: 26-30 Hourly WagePId97f15dfebb3-25660-35451969
